Complaint Process & Procedures

If you have a complaint regarding a cemetery, the first step is to contact the cemetery management and attempt to resolve the problem. Most problems are resolved by the management if within their ability to do so.

If a problem cannot be resolved by direct contact, the second avenue of resolution is to contact the Commission office as indicated on the Contact Information link. We will attempt to resolve the concern or explain if the concern is outside the General Statutes. We may request you to complete a complaint form available below and on theĀ State & Commission Forms page.

Upon receipt of a written, signed complaint, we will refer to matter to the cemetery in question for their explanation. The cemetery is provided twenty (20) days to do this research and respond. Upon receipt of the cemetery’s response, we will evaluate and advise you.
